To Work With Refining Mesh Faces and Objects
Refine a Mesh Face
- Set the subobject selection filter to select only faces: right-click anywhere in the
drawing area. Click Subobject Selection Filter Face. - Click Mesh tabMesh panelRefine Mesh. Find
- Click one or more mesh faces that you want to refine. Press Enter. (The object must
have a smoothness level of 1 or higher.)Each face is subdivided into four new faces.
Refine a Mesh Object
- Click Mesh tabMesh panelRefine Mesh. Find
- Select the mesh object that you want to refine. (The object must have a smoothness
level of 1 or higher.)The underlying mesh facets are converted to faces, and the level of smoothness for
the object is set to 0. Higher levels of smoothness result in a higher number of faces.
