To Work with Content Explorer Search Results
This topic describes how to sort, group, collapse, and navigate through search results.
Sort Results
- Click a column header to sort the results by that column; for example, click the
Date Created column header to sort by creation date. - To reverse the sort order, click the same column header again.
Group Results
- Click the Change view options drop-down arrow at the bottom of the Content Explorer dialog box.
- From the Group By menu, select the property by which you want to group results.
- Select the order in which to sort the groups (ascending or descending).
- Click outside the Group By menu to apply the settings.
Ungroup Results
- Click the Change view options drop-down arrow Group By (None).
- Click outside the Group By menu to apply the change.
Collapse and Expand Groups
- In the search results, click a group heading to collapse or expand it.
- To collapse or expand all groups, right-click a group heading and select Expand All or Collapse All.
Navigate Within Search Results
- Click the up button to go to the parent folder, file, or object of your current browsing results.
For example, if you are browsing objects in a file, click the up button to return
to the parent file. - Click the back button to return to the previous browsing or search results.
To Browse the Contents of an Item in your Results
- Double-click the item to see its contents; for example, double-click an AutoCAD block
definition to browse its block references.
