To Work With Circles
To create circles, you can specify various combinations of center, radius, and diameter
points on the circumference or on other objects.
Draw a Circle by Center and Radius or Diameter
This is the default method for drawing a circle.
- Do one of the following:
- Click Home tab Draw panel Circle drop-down Center, Radius. FindEnter circle at the Command prompt.
- Click Home tabDraw panel Circle drop-down Center, Diameter. FindEnter circle at the Command prompt.
- Specify the center point.
- Specify the radius or diameter.
Create a Circle Tangent to Two Objects
The tangent is the point where an object touches another object without intersecting
it.
- Click Home tabDraw panel Circle drop-down Tan, Tan, Radius. FindEnter circle at the Command prompt.
The command starts Tangent object snap mode.
- Select the first object to draw the circle tangent to.
- Select the second object to draw the circle tangent to.
- Specify the radius of the circle.
