Extract Section Lines from Point Cloud Dialog Box

The following options are displayed.
Extract
Creates lines or 2D polylines along the estimated intersection of the point cloud
with the section plane.
Output Geometry
Specifies the layer, color, and object type of the extracted geometry.

Specifies the color of the extracted geometry.
- Line

Specifies that planar surfaces are extracted as line objects. Curved surfaces are
extracted as segmented 2D polylines. - 2D Polylines

Specifies that planar surfaces are extracted as 2D polylines.
- Polyline Width

Specifies the width of the 2D polylines that are extracted from point cloud.
Maximum Points to Process
Limits the number of points processed, and estimates the time to extract geometry.
Extraction Tolerances
- Minimum Line Length

The minimum segment length for lines and 2D polylines created. You can enter a value
or specify two points. - Connect Lines Tolerance

Connects endpoints of nearby extracted line segments when the distance is less than
the specified value. You can enter a value or specify two points. - Collinear Angle Tolerance

Determines the maximum angular deviation before an extracted line or 2D polyline
is separated into segments. A high value generally produces fewer and longer lines.
Preview Result
Displays a preview of the result before you complete the extraction. This lets you
adjust the settings and view the changes instantly.
Create
Displays the extracted geometry. You can accept the extracted geometry, bring up the
dialog box to change the selected options, or undo the extracted geometry.
