    About Creating Procedural Surfaces

There are many ways to create procedural surfaces from existing surface or solid objects
    and subobjects.

You can create procedural surfaces from existing surfaces or solids using the following
    methods:

    • Blending to create a transition surface between two existing surfaces or solids
    • Patching to create a surface within a closed surface or curves
    • Offsetting to create a parallel surface or solid by setting at a specified distance
      from a surface
    • Specifying two points to create planar surfaces in the space between edge subobjects,
splines and other 2D and 3D curves
    • Specifying non-planar edges or splines to form a network

When you create procedural surfaces, use SURFACEASSOCIATIVITY to work with the surfaces
as a group. Just the other faces in a solid object are updated when you modify a face,
when you modify an associative surface, all of related surfaces are updated to reflect
    the change.

You can also convert other objects such as mesh and objects with thickness to surfaces.
