About Content Explorer Content Providers
Content providers are locations where design content is stored. Types of providers
include:
- Local: Represents all watched folders on your local disk.
- Network: Represents watched folders on a network computer. The network computer is identified
by its network name. The network computer must be running Autodesk Content Service
to be searchable. - Autodesk Seek: The Autodesk free web service (at http://seek.autodesk.com) containing generic building
information modeling (BIM) files, models, drawings, and product specifications. You
can download and insert Seek content directly into your project.
